Since December 2019, Traditional Thai massage (Nuad Thai) has gained global recognition by Unesco. This treatment has been added to the prestigious Unesco cultural heritage list. Now the Traditional Thai massage is a part of the protected intangible Cultural Heritage. Also, this treatment is a good and healthy alternative to physical therapy.
Unesco is the United Nations’ agency for education, culture and science. They recognize the Traditional Thai massage is seen as part of health care. This 2.500 years old healing art is passed from generation to generation.
Furthermore, Bua Sawan is very happy with this recognition of Unesco. With this recognition, we are convinced that the Traditional Thai massage is increasingly being treated as a professional part of healthcare.
